THE STORY: In central Oberkampf, these former textile ateliers have undergone a serious facelift that has transformed them into half-baroque, half-industrial 4-star hotels, “like in New York.” By conserving the steel beams, the high windows and the whitewashed brick walls, the architect Vincent Bastie (Le Murano, Le Five) hoped to tell a well-known story: give the impression of being in a loft, even in the smallest of rooms where a wooden container acts as a closet. But don’t underestimate the service: iPads available at front desk, hammam with a beauty salon, concierge and gym. Rooms from €163 (double) to €298 (duplex for 1 to 4 people).
TOILETRIES: L’Occitane shower gel, shampoo and soap.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: €17 unlimited buffet with breads, viennoiseries, hot drinks, orange and grapefruit juice, ham, cheese, charcuteries, cereals, jams, yogurts, fresh fruit salads, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon on Sunday.
MINI-BAR: Water, fruit juice, beers; honesty bar at night in the salon.
LITTLE LUXURY: A complete spa with massages, facial and body treatments, and a hair salon (upon reservation).
