Jean-Louis is king of the night! After hanging around the Who’s Next and Première Classe fashion trade shows, Xavier Clergerie set up his mustachioed mascot in his cool underground concept store – a cross between a showroom, an art gallery, a bar and a club. In the cave-like 600 m2 space given a retro-futurist look (orange-toned floors, a Chromatique couch, a bar with plaster stalactites hanging from the ceiling), musically-inclined fashionistas and fashionable music-lovers can choose between eleven house cocktails. Some of the options: a very floral Sexy Man (gin, sparkling water, elderblossom cordial, homemade redcurrant syrup, lavender bitters, lemon and egg white — €14) or a Petite Chérie with rose notes (vodka, rose liqueur, homemade raspberry syrup, lemon juice, almond milk, bitters and cucumber — €14). Sip on them while listening to playlists from invited DJs (starting at 11pm) spit out by vintage speakers from the 80s! And to satisfy your hunger pangs: guacamole (€5), chicken wraps (€10) or organic ravioli from the Drôme (€12). // A.B.
