THE STORY: There is a big wooden fire, a piano, a pond with little boats… We stay in “la chambre de Françoise” or in “la chambre d’Aurélie”… The furniture made from fruit tree wood and the footed sinks seem like they’ve been here for a century. We thought we had been invited for the weekend to an old arty uncle’s home, but, in fact, Isabelle and Alain only acquired this 18th century manor house in the center of Perche in 2004. Here, we visit the pretty “old-fashioned vegetable patch,” we go boating, we annoy the chickens, the ducks and we take advantage of the pool and the tennis courts as well. Rooms from €95 to €160 (suite with two rooms for €200).
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included, with freshly pressed fruit juices, fruit salad or homemade compote, homemade cakes (financier, muffin, etc), hot drinks, homemade jams, viennoiseries and bread, artisanal yogurts.
LITTLE LUXURY: Learn to line fish (carp, perch, roach fish) on the estate’s pond.
