THE STORY: Fans of greenery and lovers of concrete will finally be able to spend their vacations together. All they’ll have to do is reserve this contemporary ecological gite, with solar panels up top, located amongst hectares of pine and olive trees, in the meridional Ardèche department. Muriel and Eric Chevalier built it according to the principles of bioclimatic habitation. Here, in effect, we live both indoors and outdoors; the four colorful rooms each have a private terrace and a living room (100 square meters), opening up onto a larger communal terrace with a plancha grill and Tolix chairs. Starting at €2,200 a week, eight-ten people maximum. During low season, from September to May, the rooms can be rented individually – €130 per night, breakfast included.
TOILETRIES: Melvita products made in Ardèche (shower gel, shampoo and soap).
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST : Included when you rent individual rooms, additional fee (€12 per person) if you rent out the whole house — with bread, viennoiseries, French toast, Imbert chestnut cream, Areilladou yogurt, seasonal fruits, homemade cakes.
LITTLE LUXURY: The heated infinity pool that overlooks the garrigue, big enough to swim in (12m x 3m).
