THE STORY: What a festival! With two establishments in Lyon, one in Les Ménuires and another in La Plagne, the ho36 Hostel group has recently set up shop in Avignon, near the Place de l’Horloge, in order to treat travelers to some papal service! What should you expect? 22 bedrooms for you to enjoy solo, in pairs or as a gang (up to 10 guests in the dormitory), where fashionable youths mix with theater actors and boozy tourists. With splashes of local color, the ochre walls and local antique furniture beautifully complements this spectacular 19th-century building (high ceilings, old hardwood floors, tommette tile floors, original fireplaces). Ever-loyal to the company’s pricing principals, the ultra-reasonable rates (starting at €22 a person!) guarantee a good time!
TOILETRIES: Dr. Bronner’s soap, body wash and body lotion.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: There’s a €5 option with coffee or tea, a viennoiserie or tartines, and a glass of fruit juice.
