THE STORY: Located atop a cliff in the Cise forest (a nature reserve, near the Baie de Somme), this historic hotel, taken over by Guillaume Sanson and Eric Joswiak, overlooks the English Channel. Divided between the main building and the Villa Lumen, they’ve got sixteen rooms where, sometimes, you can see the sea without even leaving your bed! A piece of advice for exhausted urbanites: given that Le Cise is part of the Relais du Silence hotel group, there’s no need to bring earplugs. Double rooms from €190 to €320.
