Inside the open kitchen, you’ll find a brilliant chef who dazzles like a brick of solid gold! This very tasty and bling-bling spot opens out onto the sidewalk, has a bouncer stationed at the entrance, plus grey spotted marble and mirrors galore inside, where the talented Pierre Touitou (Vivant 2) sends out his luxurious, finger-lickin’ good snacks to a rowdy crowd. The night we went, international hipsters rushed in to admire themselves in the looking glasses while snacking on the treats of the moment: fresh panzanella (an Italian bread and tomato salad) classed up with some choice Gambero Rosso prawns; Faustian outrenoir fried mussels as an homage to Pierre Soulages, dotted with bottarga; wonderful pork belly topped with shaved fennel; a flashy salad sprinkled with premium pistachios and capers; before a black sesame and orange blossom cream filled cannolo for the fusion dessert… // pseudonym
FEELING THIRSTY? Deviant wines, of course! There’s a lovely and very punk rock German white produced by Jan Mattias Klein (€7 a glass), a hardcore red blend from Brendan Tracey in the Loire (€36 a bottle), an orange wine from La Sorga in the Hérault department (€60 a bottle)…
