The coolest terrace in Nice! Olivier Daniel and Kevin Lalanne (ex-El Merkado) transformed this former fishing cabana on the Prom’ into a chic, beachside spot: pale tomette tile floors, green velvet banquettes, barstools on the balcony with uninterrupted views of the beach… Unfussy Mediterranean plates made their way out of the kitchen the night we went: some lovely hummus paired with sliced lamb shawarma and pita bread; cute octopus croquettes with a yogurt sauce; a nice raw fennel and fennel chutney duo, sprinkled with bottarga; a cheeky “pitartare,” aka pita bread topped with hand-cut steak tartare; before a Levantine pavlova topped with labneh and summer berries. FEELING THIRSTY? Natural wines that never go out of style (a Catalan red from Partida Creus at €6 a glass, an Italian white from La Cantina Furlani at €29 a bottle…) and insane cocktails, including the “Va te faire voir chez les Grecs” that combines gin, lemon and an ouzo espuma (€12).
