Who’s keeping our spirits high today? Bibi is! In this cheeky, new spot run by two friends (Théo Barazer in the kitchen and Pierre Millaud in the wine cellar), we break delicious bread in a minimalist space (concrete touches, pine wood furniture, a timeworn mirror). The day we went for lunch, the meal started with a series of small plates: fried smelt with sauce gribiche for dipping; incredible sardine rillettes; and a sea bream carpaccio swimming in a leek oil. Followed by some consequential mains: a prawn and wild garlic pesto risotto sprinkled with peas, mint and pecorino; an incredible roasted leg of lamb from the Ferme de Clavisy, served with polenta, pointy cabbage and fried turnips. And for dessert? Instead of the mouthwatering Bounty Bibi, which wasn’t available while we were there, we opted for a very sweet tiramisu. Plus, there’s one more killer detail: Bibi’s kitchens are open non-stop, all day long! // Juliette Mallat
