Guillaume Boilève (ex-Flocons de Sel in Megève) and Alix Jean sure give it their all inside this old secondhand clothes shop that’s been turned into a tiny 15-seater restaurant that oozes plenty of feng shui vibes! Take a seat upstairs under the vaulted ceiling, or on the tiny downward-sloping terrace that defies the laws of gravity, as the meticulous duo combine savvy Scandinavian art de vivre (sleek light fixtures, organic-shaped tableware) with high-flying dishes. The delightful €19 lunch menu was a fine demonstration: an alluring grilled eggplant carpaccio decorated with confit egg yolk and yuzu; hearty risotto with mushrooms from Perpignan, straight out of the spore club; dazzling hake in a deftly-executed verbena broth with enoki mushrooms and hazelnuts; before a very rich dessert of strawberries from Castries macerated in balsamic vinegar, comfortably perched atop some pain de Gênes. // A.A.
FEELING THIRSTY? There’s a succinct and lively local selection: a red blend from Pézenas (€5 a glass), a Lance-Grenache white from Canet (€32 a bottle), Alaryk beer brewed in Béziers (€6 for 330 ml), etc.
PRICE: Menu €19 (lunch), plates €5-12 (dinner).
