Some people only pass through Da Vito to get to Moonshiner, the fun speakeasy hidden out behind the establishment, while others know that the antechamber on rue Sedaine has pizzas that are definitely worth checking out! In a trattoria-esque atmosphere (cement tiles, tiled walls, ceiling fans), heat up your taste buds (the space is a very chilly in the winter), with a copious vegetable antipasto plate (tomatoes confit, roasted eggplant, marinated artichokes), Prince de Paris ham, spianata and burratina (€19), before taking your time to choose one of the impeccable pizzas – a divine Tre Formaggi Bianca with smoked scamorza (€13), an irreproachable Bufala pimped out with fior di latte (€14)… For dessert, a big si! to the creamy tiramisu and the Nutella pizza (€7 each). To drink, there’s a transalpine grape soda (€4), a light red Salento, Il Pump (€4.50 a glass), a Bardolino Chiaretto rosé from Veneto (€19). Pizzas €10-15, à la carte €29-41. // J.S.
