Le Guide Fooding’s Best finger-lickin’ good spot of 2014
Fred Peneau (ex-Chateaubriand) and Marie Carcassone’s “grillé” (which is the French word for a Turkish kebab) sure bring a touch of class to the classic sandwich! Suckling veal from Hugo Desnoyer, organic Kurdish bread baked in-house, plenty of fresh herbs from Annie Bertin… Basically, it’s a luxury wrap topped with spicy hot sauce (green tomato pulp, spicy chilies, sweet onions) or tahina made with eggplant, fromage blanc and sesame purée, all served with homemade fries. And for the gluttons among you? Delicious artisanal ice creams from Emmanuel Ryon, enjoyed at the counter tiled in Mediterranean blue azulejjos, or on the terrace. // G.LeP.
FEELING THIRSTY? There are Patrick Font fruit juices (€4.20 for 330 ml), Gallia craft beer (€4.50) or classic sodas (€2.50).
PRICE: Kebabs €9.20, sides €3.10, desserts €4.90.
