With a 48,400ft2 space, 1,000 seats, 5 kitchens, 3 bars and 1 pop-up, LaFelicità — the new food hall from the Big Mamma group (read our thoughts about them here) — really gives its all! Housed within Xavier Niel’s Station F, this café-drome for start-uppers is decked out with lounge chairs, pizza ovens and a giant BBQ outside, plus La Trattoria, Panificio, Biergarten and La Caffeteria inside. Eat surrounded by train cars, gigantic balloons, plant-draped arbors and insane bathrooms… For us, the day we went for lunch, we just had to go to the pop-up stand Au Cheval of course, for the absolute coolest burger from Chicago. The single cheeseburger (more like a double!) came dripping with Cheddar, made on a homemade brioche bun, with meat from Mamma’s own herds, and mayonnaise with red onions (€11), plus extra-crispy fries (+€3) and unlimited sauces. Followed by plin burro e salvia, excellent homemade raviolis stuffed with meat (beef, pork and veal)in a sagey butter sauce infused with jus de viande (€10) from La Trattoria. Then a fresh strawberry tart (€5) and a rather heavy brownie (€5) from the Panificio counter. For the time being, La Felicità has kept its promises. Let’s hope that lasts! To drink? Anything you like… Espresso for €1.50, Italian iced teas (€3), classic spritzes (€7) and the house’s craft beers (€3.50-7). Dishes €16max. // C.D.
