The décor is a little chaotic (a Super 8 projector, porcelain tableware, books and canned goods scattered about…), so much so that a cat would get lost without help from Nsenga Sebinwa, a former marketing professional dressed in floral button-ups and bowties, who has been reigning over this happy mess with a panoramic terrace since 2012. And what is there to eat? Falafel salads (€9.50), burgers (including a vegan one for €9.50), charcuterie and cheese platters (€8), etc. But best of all are the XXL “tapas”: Cajun chicken with a tomato and pepper cream (€8); organic salmon morsels in an apple jelly, with cod accras (€8.50); tuna and lemon confit rillettes (€8.50); and for dessert, a vegan ginger cake with lavender, orange blossom and dried apricots (€5). There are a few wines that don’t really appeal to us (an Aligoté at €4.50 a glass, a bottle of Cheverny red from the Domaine Chesneau for €24), but Le Chat Bleu has a selection of twenty-some Palais des Thés teas (starting at €3.90), and coffees from the Comptoir Havrais (starting at €2.50).
