Here’s a wonderful coffee shop (Swedish furniture, addictive breakfasts and snacks, legendary cakes, cookies and kannelbülle…) whose virtues as an excellent lunch spot shouldn’t be overlooked! For our springtime lunch, chef Connie Zagora (ex-Ritz) really hit the mark: a delicious cluster of crisp haricots verts, presented in a chilled lemon balm and pistachio broth; a beautiful hake steak served flame-charred with buttery cabbage, a reduced fish fumet and black vinegar jus, plus a citrus condiment; before an incredible special for chocolate addicts by pastry chef Lorent Ozan combining creamy cacao ice cream, a siphoned mousse, a cocoa nib tuile and a brownie! // A.S.

FEELING THIRSTY? Mokxa coffees (€1.70 to €3.90), kombucha (€5 for 330 ml), Chic des Plantes brews (L’Effeuillé with wild garlic, eucalyptus, ginkgo root and parsley, €4.30) and a few natural wines, of course: Les Athlètes du Vin, a Touraine Sauvignon (€4.50 a glass), L’Aspic, a Languedoc red from Ugo Lestelle (€29 a bottle), or Pénultième, an Ardèche red from Andrea Calek (€38).

PRICE: Breakfast menus €3.80 to €11.90, menus €20 to €24 (weekday lunch) and €27 to €33 (Saturday and Sunday), takeaway brunch boxes €18.
