At this authentic Parisian bistro (art deco patterns, old-school zinc, timeworn chairs) with a conveniently extendable terrace in the summer, half of the clients who come through the door kiss the owner Mehdi on the cheek or shake his hand. We have to admit that the menu whispers its French-North African patois better than any other: asparagus in vinaigrette with a poached egg and Parmesan or melt-in-your-mouth free-range chicken pastilla for the appetizers; couscous, tagines (including a flavorful chicken and fig version with cilantro, almonds, cinnamon and ginger), duck breast or steak with morel mushrooms and fries, for the mains; and chocolate mousse, crème brûlée or Middle Eastern pastries to finish. // O.J.
FEELING THIRSTY? Glasses of wine for €4, an organic white Cheverny from the Domaine de Veilloux (€29 a bottle), red or vin gris from Boulanouanne (€22)… And of course mint tea (€3)!
PRICE: Prix-fixe menu €17-34 (lunch), à la carte €22-47.
