Three years after opening Le P’tit Pinard in the Sentier neighborhood, Charlotte Poumailloux and Julien Pontoizeau ended up migrating over to the 11th arrondissement to open a new P’tit Pinard! This 2.0 version of their wine bar comes equipped with waxed concrete floors, unfinished stone walls and a windowed wall, behind which Charlotte stitches together some sweet little plates. For us, the other night: perfect hardboiled eggs topped with squid ink mayonnaise; mouthwatering white beetroot cream sprinkled with hazelnuts; a porky croque monsieur with gouda and Prince de Paris ham; freshly baked mont-d’or cheese with new potatoes for dipping; before a very chocolatey cake with a delicious crème anglaise. The weekday lunch menu is also delightful, featuring tempting classics like dry cured duck breast with radicchio, beef bourguignon and apple crumble. On the weekends, there’s an ultra-comforting brunch with hummus, salmon gravlax, veggies, French toast, granola, etc. // G.LeP.
FEELING THIRSTY? Around 200 natural labels chosen by Julien: an Hérault red from La Sorga (€6.50 a glass), a Jura white from the Domaine Ratte (€34 a bottle), a Burgundy Pinot noir from Antoine Petitprez (€42.50)… Or even a Henri Bardouin pastis (€4 for 20 ml).
