Looks like Blois’ old town has got its very own taste bud pleasure zone…! The impressive Puzelat-Quastana-Tessier winemaking trio have been running this fraternal wine bar decorated with high tables and mismatched chairs since 2015. Come for an outstanding glass of wine until two in the morning, if everything goes according to plan: a regional Point du Jour from Quastana (€4 a glass), an unstoppable P’tit Blanc from Le Clos du Tue-Boeuf (€3.50) and other nectars from friends like the voluptuous Bourgueil from Xavier Courant (€4.50) or an unruly Vouvray from Sébastien Brunet (€5)… To sponge it all up (everything in moderation!), take a look at the home-cooked menu that’s not exactly vegan: an excellent pork pâté from Grésigne (€8), cancoillotte (€10), pork shank with lentils (€20 for two), a calorie-rich Toulousian cassoulet (€27 for two), etc. // A.A.
