Les Sheds

Warning: this establishment was tested before the reign of Covid 19… Certain information may no longer be up to date in regards to the current situation: hours, menu, prices…

This former spinning mill was starting to feel a little ratty, before a handful of restless individuals from the Les Sheds association converted this industrial wasteland into an alter-foodie spot that combines a fine foods shop, a café-concert area, a garden, an organic farmer’s market and… a bistro! Because under its saw-tooth roof (hence the name, shed), demanding appetites are quickly satisfied by the vegetarian-friendly cuisine served in the angora-style dining room, where you can get to know your tablemates around the big bar, mismatched tables, on the terrace or in the kid’s corner. The night we went, surrounded by two piles of alternative magazines: an addictive split pea velouté with leek and smoked sausage barbajuans; a big salad of raw, grilled and roasted vegetables, camouflaged with fresh herbs, savory granola, pomegranate seeds and goat cheese samosas; before an apple-almond tart that defied gravity. // M.J.-D.

FEELING THIRSTY? Organic and local choices, of course! A Cévennes white from Le Mas Seren (€3.60 a glass), an Alsatian Pinot noir from Eric Rominger (€4), an Alsatian Pinot blanc from the Greiners (€16 a bottle), and a Faugères red from the Château de la Liquière (€18)…

PRICE: Set menu €14.50 to €17.50 (lunch), à la carte €27-37.
