Located on the Rive Droit’s “laid back” tarmacked banks, this shipping container/shack is the perfect spot for staying dry along the quay. A parade of climactic ups and downs, Maison Maison is a refuge with around 40 seats that welcomes in water-splashed diners in a space with red benches, light wood tables and bouquets of fresh flowers. At lunch, Adriana Seghetta (ex-Aux Deux Amis) creates nice market compositions (lentil soup; delicious cod with clams and an incredible buttery broth; a sweet pear tart) which are followed by vibrating small plates made by Roland Theimer every night: roasted beef carpaccio with an anchovy vinaigrette; free-range pork meatballs with tzatziki; cod with chives and kaffir lime…. The drink selection won’t leave you high and dry either: Indigo IPA beer from Deck & Donohue (€4.50 for a half-pint), Chardonnay from the Domaine de la Pinte in the Jura (€7 a glass), a lively Beaujolais Villages from Lapalu (€24 a bottle) …. Lunch set menus €20-25, plates €6-19, desserts €7-9. // J.G
