Immaculate décor (white walls, a white tile credenza, light wood furniture), a gigantic wood-fired oven and a menu that costs a pretty penny… Welcome to Marzo Rive Droite, the second pizza-obsessed spot from Pascal Balland (seen in the pages of the gossip rag Voici with Laeticia Hallyday) and Julien Cohen (Grazie, Professore, Ristorante National)… Served à la carte, you’ll find the same litany of Italian fare as the original location in the Saint-Germain neighborhood: well-balanced antipasti, including a vitello tonnato served on country bread, and an octopus salad with olive oil and lemon; unfussy pizzas, like the Pericolosa combining tomato sauce, fior di latte, ’nduja and red onions, or the Fiorentina with fior di latte, herbed smoked ham, baby spinach, preserved artichokes and shaved Parmesan; and very mouthwatering desserts – chocolate pizzas, affogato, tiramisu… // G.LeP. & S.S.
FEELING THIRSTY? There’s organic Volcelest beer (€8 for 330 ml) and wines in all three colors: a white Duca Minimo from Abruzzo (€7 a glass), a Piedmont red from Silvio Morando (€7.50) a Sicilian orange wine produced by Francesco Guccione (€60 a bottle)…
PRICE: Antipasti €7-19, pizza €14-21, dessert €10-12.
