After opening Honor, the coffee kiosk tucked away in a courtyard on rue Saint-Honoré, Daniel Warburton and Angelle Boucher decided to open a real café with four solid walls. In the morning, wake up with an incredible toasted banana bread covered in coffee butter (€4.50) or with a heathy granola with Greek yogurt, plus fresh and poached fruit (€7.50). Then, once the day has begun, come back for lunch for something like tender shredded lamb shoulder with eggplant purée, pomegranate seeds and Greek yogurt, all sandwiched into excellent wholegrain gluten-free bread; or smoked salmon with pan-fried mushrooms, pesto and a poached egg (€11.50). For even more calories, take a look at the window display: blueberry crumble, an incredible carrot cake and other treats of the day (€2.50 to €4.50), all of which are homemade. To drink, besides the espresso (€2.50) and the affogato (€6), there’s fresh orange juice, ginger beer, organic lemonade and beers from the Brasserie Demory (€4 to €5.50). // T.A.
