Cast-iron furniture, white tablecloths, yellow striped pillows, a chic clientele… Launched into orbit by two prominent duos (Laurent de Gourcuff and Gilles Malafosse, plus Alexandre Giesbert and Julien Ross), Perruche offers stunning views of the capital from the rooftop of the Printemps de l’Homme department store, and inevitably draws crowds despite the sky-high prices. Seated under the sun, the day we went for lunch: a lovely gilt-head bream ceviche with citrus and cilantro; muy buenos sea bream and guacamole tacos; steak tartare with anchoiade that was a little lacking in flavor; photogenic plancha-grilled octopus with toasted buckwheat; before a Mont Blanc-style iced dessert and a vanilla, caramel and fleur de sel millefeuille.

FEELING THIRSTY? Southern wines: a red Patrimonio from the Domaine Santamaria (€12 a glass), a Côtes-de-Provence rosé from Minuty (€50 a bottle), etc. There are also some tiki cocktails too, like the Passionata (La Caravedo pisco, passion fruit purée, aloe vera liqueur and lime juice, €16).
