An Aegean-style terrace, big white parasols, incredible views of the sea…. Camped out on a rock across from the Port des Goudes, Hôtel Tuba’s excellent restaurant will sure have your mouth watering! The guilty parties? Greg Gassa (the former boss of Burger’s Banquet) and Fabrice Denizot (a film producer), who have transformed an old diving club into a true hot spot. Seated under the sun the day we went for lunch, we indulged in: a gigantic burrata with incredible heirloom tomatoes; multicolored linguine served with octopus, cuttlefish, palourde clams and grated bottarga; before an incredibly fresh pavlova with strawberries, apples and grapes marinated with herbes de Provence. Another option is a whole wolfish to share, served split open down the back en portefeuille. And when you’re ready for coffee, head over to the striped deck chairs! // A.H.
