Shacked up at both the city hall and in the kitchen, Christine O’Sullivan and Chris Wilson show off the very best of British cooking every day in their coffee shop with blue tones and wooden features. In other words: iconic sausage rolls, chewy cookies, puffed up scones, cheese and carrot cake for purists, plump donuts… Along with some exquisite French-inspired pastries (banana tarte tatin, orange-coconut baba au rhum or big cream puffs…). And occasionally, when it’s the right season, hot crossed buns and ice cream sandwiches! When it comes to the fine foods section, everything is homemade and also very, very good: walnut granola, mixed berry jams… Take it to go or eat it in shop, Broken Biscuits has something for everyone! // J.Pa.
Hidden gem: The fresh fig tart with toasted hazelnuts and vanilla yogurt cream on a shortbread crust (€6)!
