Three agitators opened up a small grocery store, filling it with incredible products! Juliette Busetto, Samuel Victori and Jean-Pierre Arpurt installed their Garde-Manger (French for “pantry”) in this long shop (ochre walls, golden light fixtures), located just a stone’s throw from their bistro. On one side of the boutique, you’ll find homemade eats (summer rolls, focaccia topped with beautiful ingredients), incredible desserts (floating islands pimped out with popcorn, grapefruit-rose vacherins), plus first-rate charcuterie and cheese (Bigorre pork, Parmesan aged for 24 months). On the other side: a wall filled with beautiful products, like jars of preserved peaches and verbena, baba au rhum, Nepita mint syrup, artisanal Gragnano pasta, Martin Pouret cornichons, Kodama teas, Zielinska breads…. FYI: the house also serves more elaborate, restaurant-style dishes, like shakshouka, vitello tonnato, deviled eggs… // J.Pa.
Hidden gem: The Southern pâté en croûte made with free-range pork, artichokes, olives, pine nuts and herbs from the garrigue scrubland in southern France (€55/kg).
