Levantine delights are always a welcome treat! After having beta-tested their épicerie concept at Shabour (Le Fooding Guide’s Best Bar à Delices of 2020), the quartet of Assaf Granit, Tomer Lanzman, Dan Yosha and Uri Navon have definitively anchored Shosh to Rue Saint-Sauveur. A small spot that feels like walking into a grandma’s kitchen (an old-fashioned sideboard, colorful Dutch ovens and hanging chili peppers), complete with a well-stocked pantry: Jewish-style chicken liver, Israeli olive oil, precious ras el-hanout, plump challah, sensational halva… Want to grab a bite to eat in house? There are also dishes of the day, salads and sandwiches – including an Havita filled with green omelet, labneh, olives, herb salad, tomatoes and onions. // Agathe Braun
The hidden gem: The matbukha (€6.50), a tomato and grilled pepper challah tartine with lots of olive oil.
