Black stripe, yellow paint, uh-huh it’s black and yellow! Joke De Coninck, the most badass barista around, has set up this little café with hip-hop vibes and a tattoo parlor tucked away in a corner of the shop, which has become a watering hole for real tough guys who might want to fight it out – perfect for the Antwerp docks! As for the menu, it’s all under control, offering up everything you might need. That week, the java came from Friedhats Fuku in Amsterdam: a natural Colombian bean, an Indonesian anaerobic and a perfect Ethiopian roast for espresso (€2.50). The week before, the beans came from Nomad Coffee in Barcelona. And the next, the mill will be filled with beans from MOK. Joke does what she pleases, uh-huh, you know what it is! // Kiko Zushi

THE HIDDEN GEM: The Indonesian Frinsa Sunda Omni, for filter or espresso (€14.70 for 250g).
