Welcome to the Basin & Marot cellars! It’s been 24 years since Jean-Francois Basin, backed up by Lionel Bachelart, opened this treasure-packed wine shop, a long, narrow and unpretentious space located in the Châtelain neighborhood. You’ll find the moment’s highly-prized treasures produced by organic, biodynamic and natural winemakers, including: Foillard, Lapierre, Montcalmès, Dard et Ribo, Houillon and Overnoy, among others. Not to mention the transalpine selection featuring the likes of Ampeleia, Elisabetta Foradori and Fratelli Barba. And to mix things up a bit, there are also a few bears (including Cantillon, obviously!) and even some Lemasson hard cider, sourced straight from Normandy. // Alain Maes

The bullet-proof bottle: Coëf, a Loire red from Sébastien David (€27.70), a Cabernet franc aged for nine months in Italian amphora, which they’ve been proudly importing since 1999.
