At Broken Biscuits in Paris, a coffee shop with lots of wooden furniture, where Christine O’Sullivan and Chris Wilson show off the best of British cuisine every day. €4.80 is what it’ll cost you to get your hands on a plump scone… and a damn delicious one at that!
Where to spend €12?
At Folderol, the winner of Le Guide Fooding’s 2022 Best Ice Cream award, so you can dig into a half-liter of their incredible banana ice cream while seated on your couch. Inside their inspired cold room, Jessica Yang and Robert Compagnon will warm your bellies with joyful flavor combos!

At Rerenga Wines, a tiny wine shop in Paris’s 10th arrondissement where Nathan Ratapu takes great care of both his books and bottles. You can count on Le Fooding’s favorite wine shop owner of 2022 to find a beautiful bottle for you, along with something interesting to read – including our beloved guide!
Where to spend €30?
Forget about crowded dressing rooms and grab one of Le Fooding’s collector item tee-shirts instead! Made with respect for the environment in France by Low Impact, they feature the titles of a handful of articles featured in the 2022 Guide Fooding, namely: “Piquette Underground,” printed in white letters on a black shirt; “Langue Vivante,” printed in purple letters on a grey shirt; and “Restopolis” with red letters printed on a white shirt. In short, there’s something for every mood, but not enough for everybody!
Where to spend €49.50?
On the delightful biography about the teams behind Septime, Clamato and D’une île! A collection of over 300 pages written by Benoît Cohen, with a preface by Alain Passard and illustrations by Alexandre Guirkinger, which recounts the day-to-day life of these restaurants that have left such a mark on their time: inspiration, recipes, values… It’s both a visual and a culinary delight.
Where to spend €60 even?
On the Île de Ré, paying for a round of drinks at Method, selected as the Le Fooding’s Best Bar d’auteur of 2022. In the small dining room with concrete floors and a buttercup yellow counter, Tristan Rainteau lines up six carefully-sourced creations to impress five of your favorite friends!
Where to spend €73?
At Lastre Sans Apostrophe, the bastion of butcher Yohann Lastre, the king of pâté en croûte, while rewarding yourself with a sublime kilo of his special famous version made with duck, foie gras and pistachios, among other incredible creations. A reasonable sum for such a treat!
Where to spend more than €300?
While staying for a day (or forever) in Le Fooding’s Best Stylish Bedroom of 2022: the Auberge de la Roche, at the foot of the Mercantour massif – which, by the way, also happens to be Le Fooding’s Best Restaurant of the Year. Run by Michaëlle Chabat, Louis-Philippe Riel and Alexis Bijaoui, this El Dorado-esque spot ticks off all the boxes of a lost paradise, with breathtaking views to boot…
