The team behind Le Marseillais, the port of call for whenever you’re on Place du Jeu de Balle, has opened up a sandwich shop infused with the southern sun just two doors down from the original location. Inside the soft, crusty half-baguettes baked in house, there’s some Mediterranean flavor happening: the Bagnat, all doused in olive oil on the inside and stuffed with tuna and black olive salad, sliced boiled egg, tomatoes, onions, garlic, salted anchovies and lettuce; the Sadaoui with sardine and preserved lemon rillettes, homemade harissa, hazelnuts, sun-dried tomatoes and thinly sliced fennel; or even the Antipasti veggie option made with sun-dried tomato tapenade, artichoke, parmesan, grilled eggplant and arugula. The added bonus? Gobble up your sammie on the terrace of the mothership, while sipping on a petit jaune from their endless selection of pastis, or while watching OM play on the big screen, after having a nosey round the flea markets in the Marolles neighborhood. // Alba Nebbioli
