MG Boutique

Much like her bottles, the boss of MG Boutique’s backstory really is something! In 2009, Gia Abrassart launched Ginger G, a drink made from 80% ginger. In 2014, she came up with Café Congo, an association to help redress Belgium’s colonial past. And in 2020, she opened the doors of MG Boutique. Located in an old poultry butcher’s whose mosaic walls are still intact, the wine cellar offers exclusively natural wines, on top of tonics and Parisian java from Terres de Café. Take your pick: a sparkling Chardonnay from Monte Oliveto (€21), Non Bis In Idem, a Burgundy Gamay from Domaine Le Bois Dieu (€27), or an Alsatian skin-contact Pinot gris straight from Pierre Frick’s barrels (€33).// Edgard Glass

THE BULLET-PROOF BOTTLE: Quarto Vuoto from Alchemia, a nice little natural trebbiano d’Abruzzo (€22).
