After falling passionately in love with hops, Camille Roy and Maxime Léonard opened not one, but four shops (L’Impasse and three L’Amère à Boire locations in Uccle, Flagey and Saint-Gilles). Here, within these wood-paneled walls, you can sip a hundred craft brews, like the Bière de Miel from the Dupont farm/brewery, the spicy, organic 100 Pap from the Brasserie de La Senne, or a beautiful and bitter lager with notes of grapefruit from the Atrium brewery in Marche. Sour, amber, white, brown or fruity beers… the bartenders will guide you through this living encyclopedia of beer. And forgive us, we broke the house’s fifth commandment by taking a sip from our neighbor’s IPA with an exotic bouquet, made by the En Stoemelings brewery. Gulp! // Julie Méaux
The bullet-proof brew: Bons Voeux from Brasserie Dupont, brewed in limited quantities, rich and complex, with citrus notes and a very malty flavor (9.5% ABV, €6.30 for 375 ml).
