Looking for a charming wine bar serving French nectars that’s open late? We found a real gem in the heart of the Parvis neighborhood, where two epicureans, Marlène Huard and Guillaume Toutain-Avy, opened up this tiled spot (black tiling outside, royal blue tiling inside). The space? It features an imposing granite bar finished with slats of wood and natural wine barrels, beautiful cheese platters, big loaves of sourdough, and even a handful of saucisson hanging upside down. And best of all, a large selection of funky wines and sakes on the shelves or on tap, like Piak, a cabernet franc red from Sébastien Bobinet, or Funky Town, a pinot blanc from Philippe Maurer. If you want something to snack on, there are Normandy oysters from Le Père Gus, homemade hummus, pork rillettes from Spek & Boonen, miso-marinated anchovies… Otherwise, you can simply opt for a bag of SUPERBON chips. Either way, things are super bon at Maguie! // Kiko Zushi
The bullet-proof bottle: Mycélium, a 2022 pinot gris that’s orange-hued, almost a light red, macerated for four months (€46 a bottle).
