A classy, intimate and dimly lit joint… David Vanheesbeke and Nicolas Oorts called upon interior designer Yoeran Stranger to create the trendy universe of Marigold, an atmospheric bar decked out with drapes and velvet sofas. What will you find in the glasses? Head mixer Thomas Van Opstal (ex-Miraeus Cocktails) unveils a Corny AF (€15) with Tex-Mex flavors (mezcal, bourbon, Nixta corn liqueur and corn broth); a Marigold Negroni (€14) that swaps vermouth for Suze and Izarra for an extremely refreshing effect; and a creamy and mysterious Japan (€15) that combines Japanese gin, yuzu liqueur, egg white, cream, sushi rice starch syrup, rice vinegar, lemon and lime. What about something to munch on? There’s polpette (€15), arancini (€13), or salty smoked olives and almonds (€6). // Peter Vandenberghe
