THE STORY: Laetitia, a child welfare social worker, dreamed of a change of pace from her everyday life that often weighted rather heavily on her. And by walking through the doors of a former hôtel particulier in Carcassonne, uninhabited for 14 years, she found it! After a year of renovations done with her lover, repairing the majestic hall, fireplaces, old hardwood floors and enclosed garden, they now welcome travelers in Cathar lands to their Tribus: three luminous, comfortable and modern apartments, with a perfectly equipped kitchen, linen sheets, Baumann tables, Muller Van Severen light fixtures and wicker armchairs. Studios startingat €65 a night, apartments starting at €80– and the cleaning fee is included!

TOILETRIES: 2-in-1 organic body wash and shampoo.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: €15 for two, made with fresh and organic ingredients (bread, viennoiseries, yogurts, local fruit juices), all delivered to your doorstep.
MINI-BAR: No, but there’s a Nespresso machine in the two apartments, and an honesty bar with natural wines from the Aude department produced by Jean-Baptiste Senat and Gilles Azam.
