NUMBER OF ROOMS: 14 rooms
CLOSED ANNUALLY: A week at Christmas

THE STORY: Alexandra Dupoux and her husband, two ex-ad execs, have clearly had a good time putting together this little hotel on the coast at Juan-les-Pins, whose décor is inspired by fairytales… Each room is a universe of its own, dreamlike and poetic, with a birch forest or a flock of birds in the guise of wallpaper, suspension clouds, mounted deer or hippotamus heads as hunting trophies, character pillows, and a bunch of friendly bunkmates: garden gnomes, Goldorak, Bambi… And when you feel like giving them the slip, the beach is 2 minutes away by foot, and foutas (beach blankets) are available in the bathroom. Rooms: €92 to €229.

TOILETRIES: Soap with floral rosemary water, N-Ki Cosmebio and Ecocert shower and body gel, shower gel with floral lemon balm water, hair and body gel with floral sage water.
INTERNET: Wiif (free).
BREAKFAST: €15, with Illy espresso or brewed coffee, Palais des Thés teas, cakes, puddings, homemade madeleines, bread and croissants from the baker, Andresy nature jams, fresh fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice, butter, Nutella, Danone yogurt.
MINI-BAR: No, but there is a mini-fridge in each room, as well as an electric teapot and a Nespresso machine.
LITTLE LUXURY: A confirmed pastry chef, Alexandra has her laboratory in the back of the garden. And so she regularly drops off little cakes, still hot from the oven, under a glass bell, in the rooms.
