THE STORY: Ideally located a stone’s throw from the Juan-les-Pins beach, the Hôtel Le Sud offers up a picture-perfect version of the French Riviera circa 1960, elegantly decorated by interior designer Stéphanie Lizée. Cleverly, she teamed up with local artisans to create the hotel’s signature look: an illuminated sign that’s reminiscent of a southern motel, decorative ceramics, whitewashed walls, illustrations by Cocteau…. Pure, distilled authenticity that never feels exaggerated. On one side of the space, you’ll find a fresh, striped bar and on the other, 29 sunny rooms (some of which are equipped with balconies), brightened up by the colors of the Mediterranean (olive, sand, terra cotta, marine blue) and cheeky tiled bathrooms. And when it’s time to savor the setting sun, there’s a verdant, luminous patio with fringed parasols and the sound of jingling ice cubes for you to enjoy! Double rooms starting at €190 a night.
