A pretty, colorful lair decked out with stubby lanterns, adorable pennants and vintage furniture. Welcome to Mexico via Lange Koepoortstraat, brought to you by David Michiels, a self-taught chef for the great alegría of fans of nachos and Margaritas. Savored without all the mariachichi-lala the day we went for lunch, a perfect trio of little tacos made on homemade corn tortillas, served with shredded beef, pulled pork or chicken (and for vegetarians, there’s jackfruit or mushroom options), all paired with guacamole, chili sauce, sour cream, lime and onions prepared two ways (marinated and raw). On Sunday afternoons, the menu expands to include brunch options like huevos rancheros, and at night, come for a cocktail, black bean dip and a bowl of nachos (homemade, naturalmente) to set the night ablaze. // Janjan Bon
FEELING THIRSTY? A lovely selection of tequila and mezcal (€7-20), and various types of Margaritas – classic (€12), pink grapefruit (€13) or mezcal (€14). Unless you’d rather opt for something gentler, like Agua de Jamaica (iced tea and hibiscus, €14).
PRICE: Nachos €15, tacos, chilaquiles, enchiladas €21.
