Longtime friends Sang-ah, Gregor and Eni have been running this tiny café with sleek décor since 2020. Sixsa? It means “meal” in Korean, and what a meal it was! Gobbled up the night we went, a series of recipes from Sang-ah’s grandma: divine mandu, aka fried dumplings stuffed with meat and vermicelli noodles or tofu and vegetables; a smoking hot bowl of spicy bibimbap with a fried egg, shiitake mushrooms, soy beans, bulgogi beef and vinegary carrots; exotic japchae, or big sweet potato flour noodles with seven different vegetables, garlic and sesame oil; kkanpunggi fried chicken dressed in tangy soy sauce with vegetables and spicy chilies, all mellowed out by a bowl of white rice; before a perfectly prepared black sesame and yuza cream roll cake from Kooc Toast. // Laëtitia Sayre

FEELING THIRSTY? Korean Cass beer (€6 for 330 ml), Chamisul soju (€14 for 350 ml), makgeolli (rice cider, €12 a bottle), bokbunjaju (wild blackberry liqueur, €21 for 375 ml).
PRICE: À la carte €20-30.
