There’s no need to paint you a picture: just a stone’s throw from L’Empreinte, Jean-Luc Venturi’s original restaurant, this Bastia wine shop is taking a step towards the natural side of the force. The Auvergne native Olivier Clausse (ex-chef and sommelier at The Goring in London) pushes the bottle a little further here, serving wines from both the island and mainland France: Altare, a white blend from the Venturi family in Ponte Leccia (€62 a bottle); Suchju, an unusual nielluccio from La Cantina Di Torra in Oletta (€13/liter); or a 100% Auvergne syrah from Andréa Calek (€15). // Victoria Bout
