THE STORY: Practically a gingerbread house, where European parliament members dine and romantics sleep. Anne Gerber, a former pastry chef, baked up these five tantalizing rooms in her signature sugary style (€85 to €295, breakfast included). It’s dainty and delightful, surrounded by nature (although close to the city center), and they serve tea in floral porcelain cups in the garden.

TOILETRIES: Keiji exfoliating soap, fizzy bath cubes, bath salts, body wash, shampoo and body lotion.
INTERNET: Wifi (free).
BREAKFAST: Included, with coffee, Mariage Frères tea, mini pastries, mini kouglofs, bretzels, hazelnut bread, hams, cheeses…
