THE STORY: In the foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, an hour outside of the Pink City, Maison Bellamant is the ideal getaway for a relaxing weekend trip. A haven of peace and love that will gently send you off to dreamland, designed by Toulouse-natives Stéphanie Brunel and Laurent Bernet, all surrounded by 13 hectares of forest. Upon closer inspection, you’ll find five bedrooms, all with stone walls, cast-iron details and light wood, which welcome you in with open duvets in a former 19th-century farmhouse. Three of the bedrooms are located in the barn (La Forêt des Sources, L’Erigeron and Céleste), which join onto a shared living room and each come equipped with its own terrace, an outdoor bathtub and a Nordic bath, so you can spend a few happy hours admiring the starry sky at night. The remaining two (Mado and L’Aurignacienne) are found in the main building, which also boast private terraces and offer privileged access to the excellent table d’hôte communal dining table in the kitchen. As for all the rest, there’s a pool and a pétanque court on the estate which will help you disconnect from everyday life! Double rooms starting at €200 a night.

TOILETRIES: Nature & Progrès solid vegetal soap, Bon body wash and shampoo, and Fôme hand soap.
BREAKFAST:
Included, composed of locally-roasted coffee, Kodama tea or hot chocolate, artisan fruit juice, sourdough bread, butter, honey and jam, fresh fruit salad, granola and homemade yogurt, local cow’s milk tomme cheese, serrano ham, scrambled eggs with pecorino or avocado toast with smoked paprika, along with the occasional caramel-hazelnut banana bread, lemon poppy seed cake, crepes, waffles and brioche French toast… wowzers!
LITTLE LUXURY: Swim in the pool in the middle of the forest.
