Lori Dardikman and Tom Sas are bringing Tel Aviv’s peace-and-love spirit to Antwerp, via three delightful delis. At their location in the south of the city (a cake display counter, lovely tiling, patio seating out back), they’ve got you covered from morning to night: breakfast eggs with za’atar, salad and sourdough bread, yogurt and pomegranate granola, shakshuka…; lunch with sabiches (pita, hummus, eggplant, mango amba sauce and zhoug pesto), schnitzel or mezze plates featuring spinach-feta borekas, baba ghanoush, labneh, hummus and tabbouleh; and pecan cheesecake, pistachio babkas and tahini brownies. Or better yet, what we had: an incredible pastrami sandwich made on a challah bun with cucumber, lettuce, mustard seeds and a homemade pickle sauce; and a Tel a Dog, a take on a hot dog made with a chicken and za’atar sausage, chili-spiced mayonnaise and toasted seeds on an incredibly smooth brioche bun: before the incredible dessert, a halva and tahini caramel tiramisu. Somebody restrain me, I want another one already! Other locations in Antwerp and Ghent. // Alain Belon
