Anthony Bonnin and Romain Lardot set up their Grand Ours within the Notre-Dame covered market, the perfect spot for a post-market day lunch. Filled with locally-grown organic ingredients (cheeses from the Blanzay fromagerie, vegetables from the tiny Le Plantis farm, etc.), the menu put together by chef Juliette Parnaland changes every week. The day we went, served on the sunny terrace, it featured: silky cucumber gazpacho; followed by a lovely burger made with a beetroot patty, pickled red onion and vegan mayonnaise; a Vietnamese banh xeo pancake stuffed with sautéed soy beans, mushrooms and raw veggies; and a moist nectarine-apricot clafoutis paired with rum and vanilla ice cream…. Don’t miss the Saturday brunch either. // Marie Salmon
