In a colossal space that’s been given an industrial makeover by the architectural collective Vous, Valentin Fétiveau’s festive bar sure knows how to make a racket (“tapage” in French). This former communications and hospitality professional has really outdone himself: with a total of 34 beer taps lined up behind the bar, he shines a spotlight on the region’s finest brews, in addition to featuring a blackboard menu packed with natural wines, like the Saumur blend that’s a cross between a rosé and an orange wine from the winery Les Justices (€4.50 a glass), or the Colombard produced by Sylvestre Mosse (€5). There are beers from microbreweries, like the wheat beer from the Brasserie Soma (€6.80 for a pint); a handful of classic cocktails with a twist, including a Colins jointly reimagined by Martin Goguet of the mixogolist bar 19:33 (1924 gin, Giffard crème de pamplemousse, soda water infused with Timut pepper, verjus and rhubarb bitters, €10 for 250 ml); and, to lower the volume, classy NA options, like the homemade cola (€3.50 for 250 ml). Boozy or not, the drinks are available in sizes ranging from between 125 ml to a full liter, are served with homemade snacks (nuggets €8 for seven, mogette bean hummus for the same price), and can even be taken to go in reusable bottles.
