No need for grass or good weather to enjoy this Piqniq! All you need is a pair of chopsticks at this slick Korean restaurant (immaculate walls, light wooden stools and banquette seating), where Sam and Jo delight the crowds with Korean small plates. From the menu printed on crepe paper, take your pick of some tasty and some very tasty dishes: homemade tofu with a buckwheat flour twist, served fried with a cucumber roll, spicy soy jelly and pickled mustard seeds; fresh sea bass sashimi dotted with kimchi granita; funny tteokbokki – soft little rice cakes topped with gochujang (red chili paste); before the must-order bulgogi – thin, marinated slices of grilled steak that were oh-so tender, paired with grilled shimeji mushrooms, honey-soy glazed shallots and a sprinkling of chives; and to sweeten the deal, some divine black sesame ice cream surrounded by sesame praline, yuzu cream and raspberry jelly. // Simo Né
