After working at Ladurée in Paris, then for Fabrice Collignon in Brussels, the talented artisan pastry chef Olivier Kasiers sliced himself a generous piece of the pie on Place Julien-Dillens. Where, alongside his partner Céline Holvoet, he lines up his snazzy creations on the marble counter at this mouthwatering boutique/atelier – the same one that once housed Princess Elisabeth, Duchess of Brabant’s favorite florist. What do they have in stock? Macarons, Paris-Brests, financiers and honeycombed croissants made with pure Montaigu AOP butter. For a less glossy option, try the bostok, a decadent slice of brioche bursting with orange blossom notes, almond cream and a lovely shaved almond crust. Worth noting: in the summer, the fridge gets filled with exceptional sorbets and ice creams (chocolate, pistachio, rhubarb, etc.). // Luce Berdon

The hidden gem: The mouthwatering Peanuts dessert, a chocolate bar hiding salted caramel, chocolate mousse and fleur de sel, over a crispy puffed rice and peanut base (€5.20 to €31.20, for one to six people).
