Hundreds of farm-fresh, raw milk cheeses made by independent French, Swiss and Belgian producers, lovingly chosen by Manon Parmentier and Kévin Jacquart, await cheese addicts at this old-fashioned cheesemongers. And don’t think twice about asking them all of your questions: the two Mouscron-natives know their window display inside out, after having travelled extensively around Europe looking for the best cheeses, like the Maréchal vaudois, the tender Figou goat cheese from the Limousin with a fig jam center, the herve that’s sharper than your uncle’s five o’clock shadow, or even twenty-some different raclettes. And if you want to fill up your shopping tote, there are Belgian beers and natural wines for sale as well. And to think that instead of bringing so many good things into our lives, Kévin almost became a notary clerk! // Emma Caroni
