Pioneers when it came to dealing living wines, Cyrille and Ji-yun Duparcq, who are paired up both in their shop and their personal lives, have been reigning over Place Sébastopol for eleven years now. In their long, luminous boutique, 300 labels from across France and Navarre are displayed on the walls, shelves and stands: a Gard red from Laurent Bagnol (€8.80), Les Pierres Chaudes, an Alsatian Pinot blanc from Julien Meyer (€16.80), Cul du Brey, a Jura white from the Domaine de La Tournelle (€26.90)… And to go with all that? A few spirits and beer selected with care – Nama junmai ginjo sake, beer from the Brasserie du Mont Salève… It’s no surprise that their reputation is second to none in the region. // Sofia Sétif
The bullet-proof bottle: Ni Dieu, ni maître, ni sulfite !, an Aude Carignan by Alban Michel (€13.80).
